So happy .NET Core was delayed-- a very cool idea, but trying to write a library that targeted a few platforms was an absolute nightmare. Just knowing the difference between dnxcore50, netcore50, netcoreapp was confusing. Need ASP.Net to run unit tests was strange when I was targeting Web at all, and the dotnet CLI hadn't existed yet.
The standardization around the .NET Standard seems great. dotnet as a CLI is great. Kudos to the team for having the humility of pushing back deadlines and actually delivering an end-to-end solution that actually improves .NET development.
- jsingleton 10y agoI feel your pain. I'm trying to get Scientist.NET working and it's far from easy on RC1. The issue is linked from my list of ASP.NET Core Library and Framework Support (https://anclafs.com https://anclafs.com).
