Sky sued them over sky drive
- wvenable 10y agoMicrosoft caves pretty heavily when it comes to any naming dispute. It's interesting the stark contrast between them and Apple in this regard (iPhone, iOS, etc). Microsoft needs to grow a backbone.
- georgemcbay 10y agoI don't mean this as a bash on Microsoft in any way (I actually like a lot of their products, don't care about OneDrive either way because I've never seriously used it).... but when your most important trademarks are incredibly generic terms like "Windows" and "Office" I'm not sure you have much of a leg to stand on when getting into trademark wars.
- seanp2k2 10y agoTodo: buy any IP for "Earth" and start suing people. Heh, I guess this is more or less the patent troll business model.
