Yea I think that was a pretty terrible comparison to have on their site. The revolution of LC was they were open to unaccredited investors - no way they wouldve grown like they did if they were limited to just accredited. Also fundrise invests in real estate and you don't need to be accredited. If you are accredited you can invest in more options on their platform, but it's not closed off to unaccredited.
