Been there, done that. I was comparing clang and GCC. Clang had dead coffee elimination but not GCC. I was surprised by seeing the speedup by using clang :P

- userbinator 10y ago"dead coffee elimination" sounds more like something for Java code. ;-)
- scott_s 10y agoI downvoted you for the phrase "been there, done that". That sort of sentiment - I already know about this thing, so it's not worthwhile - is discouraged here. Plenty of people may not know about it; it may not have value to you, but it may have value to them. If it's something you're familiar with, you can always add to the discussion.
- jeorgun 10y agoThat seems pretty harsh. From context, 'been there, done that' sounds to me like sympathizing with the article's author, not dismissing them.
