- pkulak 17y agoSame here. And I really only use it when I really need to get down and dirty. Web Inspector works fine 99% of the time.
- alanthonyc 17y agoDo you ever get the font problem? I try to use Chrome, but the fonts get screwed up approximately every other time I boot up.
- mgrouchy 17y agoI have never had this issue. I use the dev channel of Chromium. I don't use the standard beta channel of google Chrome for Mac
- jpcx01 17y agoI had this issue. Chrome on mac doesn't like to load fonts from anything other than the hard coded paths they programmed in. Usually not a problem for people, but after tracking things down I had to uninstall FontExplorer X and after that haven't hit the issue again. Was a real pain in the ass to fix, but despite these kinds of bugs I still can't help using Chrome for mac as my main web browser.
- alanthonyc 17y agoThanks. It is a pain in the ass. If the problem were consistently one thing or another on my system, I could live with it. As it is, not knowing whether or not the problem will pop up is too much for me to deal with. I'll take another look at my font libraries and setup to see if there's anything I can do.
- Dylanfm 17y agoSo that's it... I need to uninstall FontExplorer. I have been using Safari to view Github and other sites whose text turns into [A]-like characters. Very annoying.
- alanthonyc 17y agoCan you post here after you've done that to let us know the results please? I don't have FontExplorer installed...

- Raphomet 17y agoThe Firebug team officially supports Firebug Lite for Chrome. Have you tried it? It still doesn't have full JavaScript debugging, but it'll cover 80% of everything else you need. https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/bmagokdooijbeehmkpknfglimnifench https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/bmagokdooijbeehm...
- mgrouchy 17y agoI actually do have it installed on chrome.I find it to be a little clunky. Like sometimes when I want to inspect an element, I will press the inspect button and nothing will happen so I have to click the button like 5 times, between that and a few other issues I have had I have found it to be unreliable at best.
