I'm sure some exec thought this would be a great idea to get more downloads, but when I'm out looking for a restaurant I'm not going to waste my time and data waiting for their 112mb (iOS) app to download. I'll just base my decision on the reviews I see or go to one of the many other review sites.
- JaumeGreen 11y agoThere's an option there for reading the rest of the reviews in the mobile web, but you have to select it again and again on every site you want to read the reviews from. So, you don't need to download the app, but they make you suffer.
- Grue3 11y agoOh god, TripAdvisor is so horrible now. Even on the desktop, you get shown the first 3 sentences of each review and if you click "More" you get a full-screen popup asking you to login.
