Thank you for the insightful comment. How do you perform your own testing? What I mean is, how do you replicate space (or extreme-condition) failure scenarios on Earth? I imagine that either you need a lab in which you blast your hardware with radiation hoping to get some failures, or do you maybe have a reproducible way of simulating these types of failures? If you're working out of a lab, once the testing is complete, what happens to the hardware? Is it irradiated and does it need to be disposed of safely?
