You can use both, I do TS -> Babel to get hot reload in react (if you know a way to do that without Babel, please let me know). If you don't care about that, it's pretty much the same except async/await are not there yet. In Babel you could also use ESX features before any kind of approval while TypeScript only implements features approved (afaik).
