Thanks for the insight. I'm used to missing packets (network connections) or erroneous bits (sat connections) but erroneous ram is a whole different game, I would think. Stupid question: would it be possible to burn the OS + deployment in a ROM, kinda like the old 680x0 macs? Or are those just as vulnerable to radiation as RAM? At any rate, it seems like designing in this environment would require a level of redundancy not unlike what's in the human brain, to store & correlate information. Very fascinating stuff!
