If a phone only has one USB-type C connector on it, how will you both charge and listen to music with your headphones with it? Is there going to be two connectors, one at the top and one at the bottom?
- losty 11y agoSome type of chaining adaptor makes more sense.
- Finnucane 11y agoAnd given that usb-to-3.5mm adapters already exist, I assume that if this happened, the appropriate adapter would appear on the market fairly quickly, so you could keep using your old headphones.
- gambiting 11y agoSo now I have this ultra thin cable going to the phone in my pocket, but next it will have to be a whole USB adapter - I'm really not looking forward to that. At the same time - sure, Intel should go ahead and implement this. But phones should just have both USB and 3.5" connectors.
- buro9 11y agoA small USB type c hub, powered from the thing it's connected to. May be as small as a cable inter-connect 3 type c sockets, 1 for the phone, and one each for whatever you want to connect to. You could daisy chain these or have hubs that offer 1 in and 6 out, etc.
- obsurveyor 11y agoTwo connectors would be great but I can see more phones supporting wireless charging. I love it on the S6.
- daemin 11y agoBut you can't exactly use that on a plane or a train.
