It is wonderful how altruistic people become against the poor if the subject are gas prices. Most do not care about health care, good education or equality of opportunities for the poor. But as soon as we talk about gas prices the poor are the number concern even for most neoliberal.
- x0ra 11y agoTake it the other way, I'm not gonna sink $35k on an EV vehicle (plus yearly insurance) when my current SUV costed me about $10k overall (including maintenance), in which I'm regularly making roadtrips. And for the sake of argument, I just scored a free third hands 17 years old car. I'm gonna have to fix it, but that's gonna be a great beater. Oh, and I'll never be able to move by myself, or to move large items (cast iron table saw, drill press, bandsaw etc.) in any EV shit.
