Hey! I'm the author of Nodal [1] and I think this could be a really neat platform for open source communities. Gitter / Slack tend to be the default for live, realtime chat and GitHub is central for issues and contributions, but I'm looking for something fun to direct developers towards where we can organize community events and the like.
