Good luck enforcing an unconstitutional law.
- pavel_lishin 10y agoThey don't have to carry enforcement all the way through to a sentencing; merely charging citizens is a huge annoyance and threat that'll loom over their heads.
- superuser2 10y agoUnconstitutional laws are constitutional until you attempt to enforce them against someone with deep pockets (and for several years thereafter while the appellate courts do their thing).
- spott 10y agoThey are not "constitutional"... they are just regular laws. Also, I imagine the ACLU would love to help someone take this case all the way to the supreme court.
