I know that I, as a 30 something, have no voice in any of the candidates. I like Bern as a person, but not as a President. None of the Republicans align with my ideals, and I literally ran a Republican campaign for Coroner when I was 17/18.
I just don't think there is any presidential candidate that's pro gun, pro-choice, pro-gay rights, with a reformist mindset to unseat the Corporate-tocracy we've installed.
- mindcrime 11y agoI just don't think there is any presidential candidate that's pro gun, pro-choice, pro-gay rights Gary Johnson probably comes pretty close to fitting the model you're describing. https://garyjohnson2016.com/issues/ https://garyjohnson2016.com/issues/
- akhilcacharya 11y agoWhat exactly constitutes a Republican campaign for coroner? I didn't know that was a partisan office.
- virmundi 11y agoIn South Bend, In, parties put forward a representative for that office. It's an administrative role. The Coroner does not, necessarily, open the remains to determine cause of death. As such, the role helps align various resources to causes like drug prevention. It also governs the amount of work spent on finding evidence for a crime. The campaign is typical campaign. I got the press involved in some of our research that showed signs of corruption and negligence. I coordinated yard signs, etc. The research part was particularly horrifying. Not because of the deaths, but because of how many black individuals were dealt with.
- ktRolster 11y agopro gun, pro-choice, pro-gay rights, with a reformist mindset to unseat the Corporate-tocracy we've installed. That is literally Bernie Sanders.
- weragehq5h353 11y agoI like the guy, but to claim that he is pro-gun is a little bit of a stretch...
- 15155 11y ago> pro gun Bernie Sanders is in no way "pro-gun." He is very much anti-Second Amendment (as affirmed and reaffirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States of America.) (Preempting any ignorant "militia" argument)
