Startup time is ok. "Hello, World" runs in something like 0.08s on my computer. Not sure what this would be like for an app that actually has a lot of code. Startup time is a metric I care a lot about, because it speaks to whether it feels snappy to use for command-line applications. But holy crap the binary is enormous. I'm getting 22MB of text, compared with 991kb for CPython.
