Did people actually tell that joke in the USSR?
- pandaman 11y agoI rephrased the one I've heard due to obscure cultural references which even Russians might not understand if they are not old enough. The original is "Кооператив "СВОБОДА" возьмет в аренду 1м государственной границы"
- ktRolster 11y agoThat must have been a Brezhnev era joke because I can't imagine people getting away with it under Stalin
- pandaman 11y agoGorbachev's. I am not that old to remember Stalin.
- a3n 11y agoSome would have been punished, and some would have gotten away with it.
