Opening up the borders will not be possible in Mexico once the Trump® wall goes up.
- masterleep 10y agoIt might actually be a bad idea to build that wall since Americans will be desperate to get to Mexico for that UBI and 15 hour work week.
- pandaman 10y agoThis reminds me of a Soviet joke: Q. What is the most valuable real estate in the USSR? A. It's the state border. If you owned just a meter of it you could have made billions by letting people out.

- pandaman 10y agoI rephrased the one I've heard due to obscure cultural references which even Russians might not understand if they are not old enough. The original is "Кооператив "СВОБОДА" возьмет в аренду 1м государственной границы"
- ktRolster 10y agoThat must have been a Brezhnev era joke because I can't imagine people getting away with it under Stalin
- pandaman 10y agoGorbachev's. I am not that old to remember Stalin.
- a3n 10y agoSome would have been punished, and some would have gotten away with it. - mc32 10y agoI've heard bribes are not unwelcome in some parts of the world.... But even so, I'm sure they'll be amenable to all the south Americans who want to join in on the fun the anti imperialists will be having.
