You'll need to put an updated subprocess.py in your Python path, editing the one provided by OS X is prevented by the System Integrity Protection... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- StreamBright 10y agoAre you not using virtualenv? I always use virtual environments as much as possible to avoid being locked in on an older version (for example Python in this case).
- fniephaus 10y agoOf course you can also use virtualenv, but if Apple kept software that ships with OS X up-to-date I wouldn't have to deal with this at all.
- cname 10y agoIt seems like this is an issue with most operating systems. Regarding Python in particular, RedHat/CentOS seems particularly "bad". My take is that the OS-installed tools, such as git or Python, are generally for use by the system and not for use by me for software development.
