Unambiguous? As in megabyte?
- CydeWeys 11y agoYes, it is unambiguous. No one uses binary prefix notation for mass.
- imaginenore 11y agoNo one uses "mega" for grams either.
- khedoros 11y agoWhy not? It shows the relationship between itself and other metric units better than "tonne" does. It would start sounding natural if people started using it.
- imaginenore 11y agoBecause "mega" is ambiguous. It can mean different things.
- khedoros 11y agoCan it? How so? As a unit prefix, I only know it to mean "a multiple of 10^6"
