Agreed. Anyone who's filled out a YC app answers the equity split question as though it's post-vesting. No one answers the question like, "Our equity split is 0%, 0%. After a 1 year cliff we begin vesting 50% each over 3 years" because that's pedantic and you're supposed to keep the app simple. People just write "50/50". Almost every YC app has this problem.
