- jhugg 10y agoVoltDB supports prepared statements AND stored procedures. It also supports ad-hoc SQL and will cache auto-parameterized intermediate representations. SQL is only slow if the system has never seen it before and needs to plan/optimize, which typically happens rarely in an OLTP system that does the same thing over and over.
