- gbsmith 10y ago"pendant" != "pedant". Now that I've identified myself as a spelling pedant, the answer is: Not in general. Judging by the people I've met in life (yes, selection bias ...) there is no correlation. [Disclaimer: This post is bound to contain grammatical errors. I'm not a native English speaker.]
