If this passed, I would appreciate a determined stance to make the government's technology experience difficult. No more smartphones. Google and Bing refusing traffic to government IP blocks. No more Windows updates past whatever Microsoft has already agreed to by contract.
Obviously there's no financial incentive for any of this.
- rspeer 11y agoEver talked to someone who works with technology for the government? The government's technology experience is already difficult. The government already has e-mail inboxes with a nearly-unusable UX, messages that pass through so many unreliable contracted-out systems that they might not get delivered for several days, hideously obsolete "smart"phones... and yet this pain isn't felt by the people making the laws, just by their staff. We're talking about a place where the Blackberry is advanced technology. Your suggestions would involve companies dropping their government contracts out of spite, for an effect that the government would barely notice.
