It seems like questions like this are trying create some kind of Hacker monoculture. That's lame. Watching TV doesn't make you a bad hacker.
- scooter53080 19y agoI agree. This happens outside of the hacker world too. In general I find people are very boastful about the fact they don't watch TV.
- watmough 19y agoWatching TV makes you more of an armchair hacker. Actually, I'm getting a lot more done since my wife banned me from watching TV with her, because I get irritated by commercials.
- axod 19y agoI agree. Personally I think TV is a useful way of keeping informed about what 'the masses' if you want to call them that, are into. Removing yourself from what most people do doesn't seem a great thing to do IMHO if you're trying to appeal/sell to those people.
