It seems every other store is a cafe.
Highland coffee is the 'Starbucks' of Vietnam
- joelrunyon 11y agoAs someone who works out of coffee shops quite a bit, Saigon was amazing (same with Chiang Mai in Thailand). Amazing coffee, cheap wifi, good food and no one cares if you camp out a bit. I was there for a week on a "workcation" and spent about 10 days bouncing from shop to shop without hitting up the same one twice. 10/10. Would go again.
- orthoganol 11y agoYep, a vestige of the French influence, it's pretty crazy in D1of Saigon. Some places with fantastic ambiances to work from, whether an elaborate garden cafe, a "Bansky cafe", or a techie place like Workshop Cafe. Saw plenty of nomad types with MBPs. Go to Taipei though - best work-from-coffeeshop city in the world in my opinion.
