That was intentional to force programs to work with spaces and "special" characters.
- gozur88 11y agoIf so, that's pretty short-sighted. It's almost impossible to type them out.
- tdeck 11y agoDo you have a source for this? It sounds interesting, but also like an urban legend.
- Stratoscope 11y agoNaw, it was just to give users "friendlier" directory names like "Program Files" and "Documents and Settings".
