What exactly is wrong with TLS? Why the switch?
- KingMob 10y agoAs a protocol, it's quite old, complex, and has a huge surface area for attacks. E.g., the Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security#Attacks_against_TLS.2FSSL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security#Attac...) lists over a dozen major attacks against TLS/SSL. Its only advantage is ubiquity; it's the standard in every browser and web server.
