- troydavis 11y agoNo. The first 200,000 actual deliveries to the US from a given car maker are eligible for a $7,500 credit in the US. Reserving merely gives you a shot at being among those, iff you do choose to purchase. After the 200k threshold is met, the $7,500 credit gradually decreases over 1 year. - greglindahl 11y ago... and Tesla has shipped 100k Model S/X cars already, with 70k more (projected) in 2016 and more in 2017. So it's likely Model 3 will enter the phase-out period quite early.
