No, HN normally recognizes dupes.
- qznc 11y agoAfaik the dupe checker checks against whatever is currently cached in memory. It does not check dupes against items on disk. Effectively, it is a dupe heuristic. If someone recently accessed the previous submission, the dupe checker detects it.
