They're just another data type, like tuples, lists, trees, etc.supster 11y agoActually they are a special type of Monad which is a functional programming concept (see Haskell).catnaroek 11y agoYes, and lists [not necessarily linked lists] could have a Monad instance too. Does this make lists a “functional concept”?
