This 21 year old CEO has a lot to learn. The fact that his first instinct is to rush off to the web to ask strangers how to handle this situation might indicate that he doesn't have the right stuff to lead a company. At least not now.
- dudul 11y agoI don't know. I can appreciate someone who knows that they don't know and asking for advice. In my experience, it's better than somebody who thinks they can do anything and don't need any input.
- tryitnow 11y agoAgreed. And it appears he agrees to (he mentions it's a six month trial). It sounds like he's been pushed into this by others. I wonder if something like this happened to Elizabeth Holmes. She became a founder at a very young age. I could easily see people with suspicious agendas supporting a super young CEO because that helps them get what they want. It's been a disaster for Theranos. I'd take ping-pong playing developers over incompetent or untrustworthy "scientists" any day.
- chrisbennet 11y agoI think asking about things you don't know is a sign of maturity and lack of insecurity. A CEO needs to do whatever it takes to help the company succeed even if it means admitting he/she doesn't know it all.
