I wonder what percentage of the employees in the HR departments have a college degree. My guess it is close to 100% at 100% of top companies. Even if you do get hired, HR might undermine your career and prospects for promotion if you don't have a college degree. I don't have data but I reluctantly suspect it is true. Hopefully I'll get down votes by someone who knows this isn't the case.
