The RenderJuice virtual render farm ( http://www.cambrianhouse.com/idea/idea-promoter/ideas-id/VlD2zl1/ http://www.cambrianhouse.com/idea/idea-promoter/ideas-id/VlD...) is a very good idea. I was discussing this scenario a few days ago and the current barrier is the rendering software. Open source rendering software is improving and could make a virtual render farm viable within 15 months.
