This is a pretty terrible article. It asserts the point that Google is doing a disservice by focusing on things that improve developer productivity, but doesn't even entertain the idea that reducing the overhead on more technical matters allow developers to focus more on UX. The author should come back when Safari fixes some of its blatant issues/missing features that directly impact being able to improve UX.
