The "1%" is actually an interesting choice of number. Most NYC media types are friends with very wealthy people. They needed to pick a number large enough that it didn't seem like they were attacking people they know.
- tamana 11y agoThat's ridiculous. They say "1%" because it is easy to write and pronounce. It is a figurative number. When people complain about billionaires, they don't think that $1.1Billionaires are monsters and $0.9Billionaires are middle class.
