Perhaps. In my view, inferior programmers will always blame the language. Every language has its shortcomings, and server side languages have, in my view, far more shortcomings than client-side javascript. I program in angular, so the experience is pretty good. As long as I can debug and have a comprehensive framework I'm fine. ES6 should get us there, and I for one really like coding in javascript.
