Awesome results, but what is a light field? Are they not generating their models simply from a recorded video?

- zardo 11y agoIt's a description of the light striking a viewing plane that includes the direction each ray is traveling.
- KaiserPro 11y agoA lightfield is a way of recording an image with ray angle information as well This means that you know where the light has come from, which allows your to amongst other things alter the focus/depth of field after the image had been captured. Because you can refocus and change the depth of field post capture, it allows you in theory to do better image segmentation.
