Is this what caused those IRC netsplits we kiddies used to exploit to gain ops, before that was properly solved?
- beachstartup 11y agosometimes, but i think most netsplits (which still occur today) happened because of more mundane things like irc servers simply crashing or more routine network disturbances like routing loops. or of course, an ircop starting up a bad config.
