SkyTran solves all the problems that come with trains and light rail, which are 19th-century technology. Too bad everyone is happy to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on a crappy public transit system that is so slow and inconvenient that no one wants to use it, when it's entirely possible to build a system which is cheaper and much faster and more convenient, but everyone thinks it's sci-fi (but somehow, automated cars aren't).
- specialist 11y agoI'd still like to understand how the Seattle Monorail failed, got spiked. I'd been thinking it was for want of a champion. But now I wonder if the missing ingredient was triggering upzoning.
