Totally agree, I never understood this fetish developers have with small packages. It's probably related to the 'Unix philosophy' but it just doesn't scale in a web context... Personally, I much prefer a single nice, complete, well-polished module that works perfectly over lots of tiny modules which are awesome individually but which suck when used together.
