I have yet to meet anyone who kept and followed a todo list over the long term. Can anyone say otherwise?
It just doesn't seem to be human nature to do it consistently beyond short bursts of focus, like dieting and following step-by-step procedures.
- epmatsw 11y agoI've seen Project Managers who are all about GTD and follow it consistently. Not my cup of tea, but it works for some I guess.
- sjenson 11y agoI've used a todo list, in some form for over 10 years. I'm currently using WorkFlowy and have used it nearly every day for 2 years now. I'm one of those 'minimal GTD' types that just needs to get everything down so in the morning, I can make sure I'm focusing on the right things. Nothing heavy, just a simple way to reflect and focus.
- tim333 11y agoI'm not convinced todo lists are a good long term solution. Short term if you've got more things to do than you can easily keep in mind then they are good but longer term you're better off automating or simplifying life so you don't have the issue, perhaps.
