You could, and that's why it's trivial package manager hygiene to pin versions and always test before upgrading versions.
- TeMPOraL 11y agoYeah, except nobody does it. It's really the case where stupid ideas should be make harder to implement. Otherwise you get the present web, where a lot of companies fetch all dependencies from GitHub every time their CI server wants to run a build. About the only good thing that comes from this is that we get to laugh out loud every half a year when there's a random GitHub outage and those companies all scream bloody murder.
