On the one hand, I ,love how the JS community is constantly coming up with new [versions of old] things. Even though most of it is creative waste, it's still creative and out of that churn we get some pretty awesome apps and tools. On the other hand, there's a lot of bad practices disguised as "simple" and "efficient." Using NPM for one line functions is a great example of this.
