One time I restored a database from a MySQL binary log a table that held about 10,000 employee pay rates. Unfortunately, the log was shifted a few rows and the mistake wasn't noticed until a few weeks later when the CEO and some high level directors noticed their pay was traded in for the high 6 figures to an hourly rate. What a mess!
