How is this different than http://duplicity.nongnu.org/ http://duplicity.nongnu.org/ ??
- acrosync 11y agoThere is a section comparing Duplicacy with others: https://github.com/gilbertchen/duplicacy-beta#comparison-with-other-backup-tools https://github.com/gilbertchen/duplicacy-beta#comparison-wit...

- harwoodr 11y agoWell, since it isn't open source - how does it compare with crashplan (another closed source, data deduplicating, free for personal use, cross platform backup solution...)
- acrosync 11y agoCrashplan doesn't support cloud storages other than their own. Neither does it support cross-client deduplication (https://www.facebook.com/CrashPlan/posts/10151056594185124 https://www.facebook.com/CrashPlan/posts/10151056594185124).
- kirushik 11y agoBTW, why does your comparison table says "Full Snapshot: No" for duplicity? One can definitely use `duplicity full` to explicitly ask for a full backup.
- acrosync 11y agoBy "full snapshot" I meant an incremental backup that still appears to be a full one. A full backup in duplicity is not an incremental backup so it is not qualified as a full "snapshot".
