If Intel bought out Compaq in 1991 history would be different. I used Compaqs around that time. They had small pizza boxes with 386 and 486 CPUs in them. I'd imagine Intel would make Compaq PCs with their other chips like the 80980 and other chips. Maybe make Unix workstations with RISC chips using HP-UX.
