I wouldn't say it's preferable to a real keyboard but as far as foldable, portable keyboards go I'd say it's the best (especially since it's USB and not bluetooth based; bluetooth are just too prone to interference, repeating character issues, etc (at least I've yet to use a good one)). It's a pretty good compromise, in my opinion, for someone looking for a full fledge computer that can also have the portability and usability of a tablet.
