You mean like telling women we're wrong for feeling things people normally feel, such as wanting to be seen as equally capable when we are? Telling us we're wrong for feeling things people normally feel, such as enjoying coding and playing video games? Telling us we're wrong for feeling things people normally feel, such as frustrated when we're marginalized. Telling us we're wrong for feeling things people normally feel, like sensing we're being patronized when a conference holds a session specifically about telling us we're included and wanted in the industry, but the celebration of the conference assumes that everyone attending is a hetero male and reenforces the industry's not-so-subtle inference that women's primary value to it is in their sexuality?
What about asking people to be respectful and empathetic to people who tend to get treated differently from how they do is the same as telling people they're evil for existing and being people?
