I bought the primary focus for Boston Dynamics was military applications. I can see Google wanting to distance themselves from hat industry.
- mediocrejoker 11y agoIf that was the case then why buy them in the first place? Change of heart?
- gist 11y agoIrrational exuberance and/or lack of proper due diligence as to the extent of the ties. It must be great to have so much spare cash that you can do a transaction like this the way I might buy a TV and sell it on ebay if doesn't do what I thought it would.

- rch 11y agoAgreed. I'm just glad some of the knowledge and know-how was adsorbed by Google before BD ends up as part of one of the military behemoths.
