I'd also comment on how consistent does the rice taste? When I made rice on the stove, it was really easy to cook too long and have it be mushier than I like.

- jessaustin 11y agoI think self-timing shutoff will soon be a normal feature of new stoves. There are already some specialty heating elements that incorporate that.
